Project Description
Working within the public transportation infrastructure data communications industry, AxisTech completed over 10,000 splices and terminations. The FOSU project was governed by a complex splice schedule that also incorporated splicing into existing cables. AxisTech worked with the client’s consultant to propose more user-friendly termination hardware that supports better access for maintenance over time.
Additional challenges included a work schedule along the guideway that was 3-4 hours (2am-6am) to accommodate the SkyTrain maintenance schedule.

Supplied and installed 20km of 576 strand armoured cable and 20km of 144 strand armoured cable along skytrain gateway and each station.

AxisTech’s roles included point to point stops at two dozen locations, and required work in an industrial environment
on a night schedule.
Fibre Optic Splicing and Termination
AxisTech completed over 10,000 splices and terminations governed by a complex splice schedule that also incorporated splicing into existing cables.
Specialized Services
AxisTech executed grounding, bounding,
PLC communications, networking and program logistic control. Design was provided to ensure success.
