Mott Electric and AxisTech once again collaborate to connect a special fibre tailing cable for two state-of-the-art “Electric Megamax STS” Cranes at Deltaport Terminal, Port of Vancouver.

Working in a very tight timeframe with only select windows of installation availability, the teams completed the project with technical expertise. With a safety-first mandate, an electrical shutdown at the facility was required for all equipment access.

The AxisTech team of David Mayhew and Colin Chamut spliced the Deltaport special cable into a fibre trunk cable. In early 2017, AxisTech and Mott Electric installed the first phase in preparation for the new cranes which arrived in Q2 2017.
