Joana brings a unique blend of business management, solid technical knowledge and dedicated personal commitment to AXIS Technical Services.

She graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc. in Mathematics and later received the Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) accreditation BICSI from (Building Industry Consulting Services International) in recognition of her expertise in communications cabling design.

Joana’s proven expertise in large scale project management and implementations that carry a high degree of difficulty ensures that AXIS Technical Services provides the optimal solutions to client needs.

Joana is an active member of FWE-Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, BICSI, Canadian Construction Women Association (CCW) and the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA).

David Mayhew

David Mayhew

Project Manager


A seasoned veteran with a decade of experience with the Axis Group of Companies, David holds INSTF, FOA, CFOT, CFOS/O Certifications from BICSI for Fibre Installation Technician Level II and Fibre Optics Alliance Certified Fibre Optics Technician and Outside Plant. He also holds multiple technical certifications including Belden, Panduit, Corning, Leviton and Fluke. A high degree of expertise in Fibre Optic installations and deployment of Passive Optical LAN systems ensures David’s delivery of a quality-assured, cost efficient and cost effective solution each and every time.

“I execute each assignment with a methodical approach; to deliver a practical, scalable and safe solution focused on customer satisfaction. From initial Set Up to Project Documentation, everything must be checked, tested and approved, prior to installation. I pride myself on deploying a technology-forward project built on AxisTech’s foundation of trust.”

In 2014, David placed second in the third season of the Concert Technologies industry competition, “Cabling Icon”. He also holds safety certifications for First Aid, Confined Space, Aerial Lift and many others.

Educated as a Master Electrician at BCIT in the early 80’s, Henry is a veteran who specializes in the electrical infrastructure side of large-scale fibre optic and data installation projects in Western Canada. With a career spanning over four decades as a past superintendent, director of operations and project manager, he brings an in-depth knowledge of fibre optic and electrical data communication materials to the AxisTech team. Experienced with real-time construction ops software for the structured cabling industry, BlueBeam Revu, Sitemax and Procore, Henry leverages technology with real world design-and-build insight. His tasks have included: overseeing manpower, reviewing job progress, auditing job site safety, calculating budgets, executing change orders, monitoring quality assurance and assessing quality control procedures.

Project Coordinator


A holder of the PMI – Project Management Institute’s certificate in Project Management (CAPM), and active member of CCW – Canadian Construction Women, Verity welcomes the methodology of AxisTech’s rigorous scheduling, cost management process and detail-orientated procurement. Utilizing the integrated project management software Sitemax, allows her to manage the team’s activities on the construction site, corporate office and digital boardroom. Verity focuses on streamlining communications, analyzing the scope of each project and following quality assurance procedures.

Andreia Mayhew

Estimator / Project Assistant


Andreia has been a key collaborator in the estimation department at AxisTech for many years. After attending Capilano University and learning the construction estimation software BlueBeam Revu her roles have included defining the scope of work, calculating drops, volumes and distances, sourcing critical materials, and providing proposals for stronger competitive bids. She has leveraged her strength as a team player and implementer while assisting in the development of each project.

Amanda Greenwood



With over 15 years experience, a diploma in Applied Business and Technology (accounting specialty) from Vancouver Island University, and enroute to a BBA with Douglas College; the financial management of AxisTech is enhanced by Amanda’s accounting expertise. Having worked for and in a variety of industries including manufacturing, mechanical and telecommunications, she knows the financial landscape of the data communications industry and the demands for economic growth.

Sherry Xu Fiber Optic Installations

Accounting Assistant


Sherry is a detail-orientated accounting assistant with the AxisTech financial management team. Since graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Ms Xu has been a welcomed addition to the accounting division. With a goal to ensure all financial transactions adhere to strict quality control procedures, she prides herself on collaborating with all parties. Sherry accredits much of her success to controller Amanda Sproule and her ongoing skills training with the award-winning construction financial management solutions software Sage 50.
